Welcome to SGA Middletown
The Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine Middletown Student Government Association (SGA) is the official representative body for students enrolled in all four years of the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) program. SGA Middletown exists to foster a strong, supportive, and inclusive environment where student voices are heard, respected, and empowered.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote the academic success, personal well-being, and professional development of all students at TouroCOM Middletown. We aim to serve as a bridge between the student body and the administration, advocating for student needs while upholding the values of integrity, service, and leadership that are central to osteopathic medicine.
What We Do
The SGA Executive Committee plays a vital role in shaping student life on campus. We are responsible for:
- Organizing academic, wellness, and social events that enrich the student experience
- Addressing student concerns and working with faculty and administration for solutions
- Supporting student clubs, organizations, and class representatives
- Promoting initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Managing budgets and funding requests for student activities
- Fostering school spirit, collaboration, and a sense of community
We work hard to ensure that every student feels connected, represented, and supported during their time at TouroCOM-Middletown.
Building Bridges Between Students and Administration
One of our core responsibilities is to act as a liaison between students and the TouroCOM Middletown administration. We regularly meet with faculty, staff, and academic leaders to:
- Advocate for improvements in curriculum and student services
- Share feedback from the student body
- Collaborate on campus-wide initiatives
- Ensure transparency and communication across all levels of the institution
Through this ongoing dialogue, we help cultivate a campus culture of mutual respect, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
A Community of Leaders
Our SGA members are more than just representatives—they are mentors, organizers, problem-solvers, and role models. They embody the principles of osteopathic medicine: compassion, service, and holistic care. Whether leading wellness workshops, planning inter-class mixers, or speaking on behalf of their peers, our SGA members are committed to making a lasting impact.
We take pride in building a community where students uplift one another and grow not just as future physicians, but as compassionate leaders in healthcare.
Get Involved
SGA Middletown encourages all students to get involved—whether by running for office, joining a committee, participating in campus events, or sharing feedback with us. Together, we can shape a stronger, more vibrant campus experience for everyone.
