Hi everyone, my name is Ishika Prakash and I’m the diversity chair at TouroCOM Middletown. A little bit about me is that I am Canadian, but grew up in Dyer, Indiana. I love watching movies and trying different cultural foods. I also figure skated for 9 years of my life! Diversity means inclusivity to me. Being able to appreciate other cultures and educating others creates an inclusive and informed environment. Being Indian myself, I love embracing my culture and showing it to others whether it be through dancing or showing the different attire. I hope to meet you all and get to know all of your cultural backgrounds. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or want to have an event!

Diversity Fashion Show 2023 - Diversity Committee started a new tradition in 2023, hosting an annual Fashion Show! This years show was absolutely beautiful and held at the Paramount Theatre in Middletown, NY. The show included music, dancing and modeling!

Taste of Touro 2020 - For the "Taste of Touro" event, students made their favorite dishes from their cultural background to share with our Touro community. It was a great event to showcase all of the different countries represented and to learn more about all of our students' backgrounds.
